Size & fit guide

Measure first. Guess less.

Fit varies by brand and product. Always use the product-specific manufacturer chart when available; this guide explains the basics.

How to measure

Use a flexible tape and measure over light clothing.

Chest

Measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape level and comfortably snug.

Waist

Measure around the natural waist or where the product is intended to sit. Do not rely only on the size printed on another pair of pants.

Inseam

Measure from the crotch seam to the desired hem, or compare a well-fitting pair laid flat.

Footwear

Measure both feet late in the day, use the larger measurement, and compare it to the manufacturer chart. Consider sock thickness and toe-protection shape.

Eyewear fit

Consider frame width, temple pressure, nose fit, lens coverage, and compatibility with other protective equipment.

Frequently asked

Fit questions.

What should I do between sizes?

Use the manufacturer guidance and the intended fit. Layering, stretch, safety-toe shape, and work socks can change the better choice.

Do all brands fit the same?

No. Product-specific charts and notes matter more than a general size label.

Can MEM guarantee a fit?

No universal guide can guarantee fit. MEM can provide available product information, but the customer remains responsible for selecting a size.

Where will product-specific fit notes appear?

Specialized product templates include Size & Fit details when the relevant information is populated.
